There have been A LOT of response of stories & memories that have been shared by the aunts & uncles of the family about memories of G'pa & G'ma Barton . . . so I am planning on sharing a few fun memories at a time. And hopefully little by little I'll get better at formating and adding things so that they are easily stored and read. :-) If you have any memories that you want to share -- email me!
The first of memories is from Aunt Pam, G'ma & G'pa's daughter. These are a few funny sayings that G'pa would have and would constantly say:
-When he didn't want to do something he would say, "I can't do that, I just had my shoelaces pressed".
-Every time we passed a grave yard he would say,"People are dying to get in there" I would just roll my eyes and say to myself, not again.
-He called everyone, "Guggenheimer" and squeezed their knee until they either laughed or died trying to get away. He loved babies. He would wake them up whenever he felt like, play with them and then let you calm them down when they were crying.

The Beginning
My name is Rebekah Barton - and I am the granddaughter of these two amazing people.I have decided to start this blog page for everyone who knew these people, and wanted to help me preserve their memories, pictures, and stories. The idea of starting the blog page actually started when I was in a family history class, and I had to pick a project that would influence the lives of others. And as I was thinking, I realized that most of my family does not have a very good history or clue about who their grandparents (or great grandparents for that matter) are. So I want to share the information that I have. I am compiling pictures, stories, photos, pedigree charts, etc to post on here. And hopefully people will start to create memories of their own. :-)
